I am very busy with school work, my job, and a short film I am working on and shooting in the next 2 weeks!
Although I do not want to neglect or completely abandon the project whatsoever I am just going to adopt a more casual format for you all. So I will post some tools in which you can find or choose some great monologues for yourself,
BECAUSE COLLEGE AUDITION SEASON IS WELL ON ITS WAY.
Believe me, I know. It’s stressing me out too.
So i got a chance to spend approximately and hour and a half tearing through the shelves of Manhattan’s drama book shop yesterday. It was wonderful.
I found approximately 25 new plays that were relevant, unheard of and perfect for the young actor. Unfortunately I could not buy them all, and could only leave the book shop with 6. Never the less I have a list of these authors and plays, that you can look into yourself if you care to. I am just excited to have some new material!
Video’s coming soon!
THE FIRST MONOLOGUE
from Sarah Treem’s new play, “A Feminine Ending” from the character Amanda
Amanda reminisces about her old boyfriend Billy after running into him for the first time in years and uncomfortably compares him to her current boyfriend/fiance Jack.
keep in mind everyone performs monologues differently, the way i present it could and should be different than how someone else envisions it
